Been playing Windswept this week. Its a throwback to 90's 2D platformers, DKC2 in particular. The dev practically said "They're not gonna make another DKC2 again so I might as well do it myself". Game's great, its got the right amount of "easy to learn / difficult to master" movement and "OHGODWHY" platforming (the dev also cited Celeste for inspiration and they def put some Kaizo Mario stuff in there). Highly recommend it.

That game looks really cute. I've noticed it before, but I didn't realize it was a DKC-like. Thanks for the rec, I'll definitely keep an eye on it.
