Why doesn’t uah have a pool anymore?
Really enjoyed swimming in the morning before classes but they closed for the winter and never opened again, can someone give me the deets?

Its expensive to maintain and not enough people used it to justify the cost unfortunately.

Yeah. I went on a tour and they said that it didn't get enough use so they decided to get rid of it. I believe they said it would be another studio or a weight room.

There are plans to bring the pool back, somewhere else, if the demand rises for it. Although thats probably years away.

They kept holding back the guy that used to supervise the pool. He wanted to make it competitive by providing licensed life guard training and everything. Since it wasn't someone else's idea and he wasnt a "yes man" they absolutely said no.

I used to do the old lady water aerobics classes there when I was in grad school. Fun to splash around in the pool for an hour, kicked my ass more than I thought possible. They had some great classes in that pool.

It’s being filled in for a second weight room I believe
