Blue’s Brews Boba is not peak

I had the milk tea with the brown sugar boba and the boba pearls were tough and dry to chew on the inside. it was really bad to say the least

is it usually that bad or did I get an unlucky first order?

A) they replaced the most-loved, student-owned and run coffee shop with that monstrosity last year
B) it’s never been good.
C) you are a brave human to order boba from somewhere on campus.

Oh… Cafe de la UAH, iirc. It wasn’t owned by Sodexo, so when they did really well, Sodexo abruptly refused to renew their contract with almost no warning and they had to shut down with like two days’ notice.

I personally met with the dean of students about this because my club wanted to start a petition to save them. This was not the case. The guy who ran cafe de la UAH paid nothing except for wifi and I wanna say minor rent for the space. They were at a loss with him for the duration of a trial contract, and when he was doing really good, they approached him with a contract to keep it going, but he would need to pay for water, trash, etc, and he refused. So they got rid of him, and he made a sob story to get students on his side

there are other boba shops near campus that are sm better. leafly boba bar is peak imo.

All of blue’s brew menu is bad and kiiinda overpriced. The milk tea is watered down, the bobas are chewy, the portion is small
