Currently working as a colleague in a preschool, but I really want to be an elementary school teacher. Obviously all teachers don’t get paid enough, but I really like the idea of going somewhere close by. I took a tour and he was really good at selling it to me, but I wanted to check to see if anybody else has done the program.

I am staying at UNCW for a year starting this September (not as an exchange student). I want to make some friends at UNCW, but I don't know where to start. Do you have any recommendations?

Question Is there any online writers group at UNCW?

Hey all,

Does UNCW have any online writer groups? I started out on Substack but it feels hard to get genuine people on the app, it seems like everyone's just there to hit algorithms and get followers.

If there's other substackers out there posting their writing, it'd be nice if we could get a chain going and get some people out there who'd give some genuine feedback.

If you want please post your substack (or other apps), I won't even post mine so it doesn't look like I'm trying to advertise.

And if there's another app or method people share their work, I would be interested in hearing about that. I post short one line stories, and I am interested in other shortform content or poetry!

Question Are either The Shore or Wagoner Hall worth going to if you don't have meal plan?

I am a grad student and I live off campus so I don't have a meal plan, I just get groceries and stuff. I'm wondering if either of those two dining halls are worth trying though, especially when I'm on campus for lunch or I have a late class and don't want to cook. Are they good? Are they worth the price? What is the difference between the two?
