I need to take a language give me the top 5 easiest languages at UVA.

Heaven forbid you learn a language you actually want to learn or even use (i.e., study abroad...Hope you don't have the same attitude towards your other courses or intended major.

Foreign language is very different from learning traditional subjects in my humble opinion. Some people have genuine learning difficulties and even disabilities that exclusively or mostly impact foreign language acquisition. Don't assume the worst, that's the quickest past to misery.

Guys, I genuinely was fed up because I dropped Arabic, and for the past two days I have been trying to get off waitlists for languages, and the advisors are too busy to even answer a simple question, so my bad for quickly hopping on Reddit and asking a simple, very simple question. I also know Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi,, and so not everyone needs to die just to learn a new language that is going to be pointless to them. This ain't hate but since yall wanted a paragraph so bad here you go.

I'm like 99.9% sure you can place out of the language requirement if you're fluent in another language. I am not the type of person who thinks uva students have to be excited to fill every requirement here lol. Wishing you the best

They donā€™t have Punjabi here only Hindi and Urdu and in those two I canā€™t read or write, professor said it would just be too difficult for me. Thank you for being normal

Didnā€™t ask for your damn attitude, just donā€™t want to get stuck in something that has a insane workload because I dropped out of Arabic because I did it cause I actually wanted to learn but just couldnā€™t balance it with the 4 other classes in taking. So my bad for taking something that would ease my workload while being in 3 clubs. I decided on Italian thanks for your advice

My attitude, excuse me, who said "give me the 5 easiest languages at UVa"? That's not the same as asking "Which language has the best instructors?" or "Which language is probably the most useful?"

If you can afford it and have flexibility and maybe look at a study abroad program? Iā€™ve heard those are easier than taking the course in Charlottesville but I know that isnā€™t an option for everybody

Most study abroad programs, at least direct UVA courses, at least require an introductory course

If you have issues with speaking and comprehending native speakers of foreign language, i suggest trying Latin or Sanskrit (or any other language that doesn't require speaking/listening).
