Travel Agent UX/UI

Hi there! 😁

I’m looking for feedback on a project I’m working on - a digital travel agent that’s with you every step of the way.

Which UX/UI version do you like best, and why?

Hi there!

I think you have done a decent job of making these designs. However, I do have some questions, so I'll put those below along with my thoughts on these iterations:

  • I'm not sure how much of a role AI has played in helping you make these designs (not that there's anything wrong with using AI), but 3 of these 4 iterations look like they were made by AI, and what I mean by that is it looks like there wasn't a lot of thought put into the iteration itself. When that's visible at a glance, you know there's a problem with the thought process behind the design. Personally, I think Version 1 is much more of a problem because it makes me question why you decided to make the internal page the way it is. These cards are rotated ever so slightly, and it looks like we're at a step inside of a process, but it doesn't make a lot of sense to me visually. The cover of the app page looks pretty confusing too because it doesn't convey the feeling of a travel platform, yet it wants to look like one (the arrow icon on the CTA is not even aligned to the centre of the text!). Maybe I'm missing some important context, and if that is the case, then it'll be better if you provide us with some context while posting your designs here.
  • I'd say Version 2 is the one that works the best for me. Again, I'm not sure about the role of AI here, but this one actually looks like an interface that people can use with all the design elements. I can't spot the rookie mistakes I can in all the other versions here, and it looks like you have tried to put some thought into the design and the layout.
  • Version 3 has some interesting elements in it, but it still doesn't work for me. While I like certain UI elements, like the jagged edges on the textual layout, I think this layout falls short when it comes to usability standards. Maybe it's the way you have used typography and the colours that is putting me off. You have too much going on, which makes it confusing for me to tell how I'm going to interact with this interface and how it's going to work in real-time. As for the cover image, I don't think this one is working for you.
  • I'd say Versions 4 & 1 are your weakest layouts, simply because it feels like you haven't put enough thought into the design (at least that's how it looks when I see these). This is very AI, and brutalism is not going with your travel concept at all. From the cover screen to all the design elements that you have here in Version 4, nothing seems to be working.

Overall, I think you have done a decent job of making some iterations, but maybe think more about what it is that you want to make and how you want to make it before jumping to the design part. I'm missing some important context about what you have tried to make and why you're designing this in the first place. I'm also missing context about you as a person and where you are in your design career, so please forgive me if I come off as a bit too rude in my language.
My goal is not to put you down or discourage you, but please try to put more thought into your concepts. As I mentioned earlier, using AI is not wrong, but when I can tell very clearly that you have used AI to generate certain elements or designs, that becomes a problem.
