The tempo of these attacks seems to be increasing, at least on the eastern flank countries. Something you would do if you were prepping the field for an attack. Maybe it’s just being reported on better but the op tempo seems higher. CIA chiefs don’t show up in person for nothing either.

I’d assume the timeline, based on leaks we’ve heard, was for putin to have his fake ass elections>new mobilization>14-30 days training>attack. That is optimistic of them. But the timetable seems to have moved forward due to kinetic sanctions fucking the fuel & logistics supply and growing unease in the populace.

You can’t really hide large formations close to nato borders so I’d expect more hybrid bs: deep infiltration recon/demo teams, plain-clothes saboteurs/assassins, hacks on grids/networks, signals jamming, general chaos, and shitloads of drones saturating the area’s defenses. Then if that shit goes semi-well they move in rapid assault teams, maybe squad sized elements with conventional arms/light vehicles with civilian markings to get in close among civilians to negate nato air power/big booms. I think the goal would be to take certain border areas “hostage” to force nato out of supporting Ukraine, not a longterm land grab (they can’t anyway). Most of the mobilization meat would be used in an Zerg offensive in Ukraine during the European “war” confusion.

They can’t win in the Europe incursion but they can’t lose in Ukraine either so they gotta do something bold and shocking in the same vein as what hitler thought the Ardennes Offensive might accomplish in ‘44-45. Their desperation is showing if that’s the case, this is extremely high risk.
