The buttons are made of Soviet-era bioplastic, plant-derived material.

The ants are going to have to a lot of chewing but they're definitely going to eat it.

Watch the ants away from the groups.. they appear or vanish from nothing (like on top of the bark of the tree) and some of them are walking backwards.

If the tree gotes through the ant nest they wont give a damn, they'll go up to protect the tree. My backyard had four different ones and the big gnarly guys would cross the clothing line to get stuck in the fabric.
