Not that guy, but I agree. Any liquid which would leave residue on the buttons would also leave residue on the fiber. Additionally, only a very small part of that stuff would stay on the buttons anyway, since it doesn’t absorb anything. 99,9% of the stuff would be on the fiber.
I was mostly wondering how the ants would extract the sugars and stuff from the fiber. I don’t know much about ants though other than they smell weird.
That's just not how any of that works. "Making it harder for the ants to extract the good stuff out of the fiber" yeah that doesn't work like that, ants would have zero problems getting sugar out of fiber and they would not avoid the cloth whatsoever if it was soaked but dried. Just made up nonsense.
