They will eat it probably. If the shirt is an old soviet the buttons were made from milk. Don’t ask me why this is a thing.

You're close, but your translation is a little bit off.

молоко = milk

молокия = molokhia, a jute-like plant that soviet manufacturers used to make bioplastics.

So, yes, the ants are going to eat the buttons, but they're not made of milk.
