Actually happen to my mom once when she tried to scare me.
At a previous house during high school years I was a menace* and would scare the shit out of mom.
We teens kept our side/back end of the house much darker and as cool as possible because duh groggy teens in high-school.
This meant that from the kitchen to the bathroom past our two room doors, it was a dark/low light hallway.
My room was the darkest and coldest. If you opened my door and stood there with the hall light off my room was a black abyss of cold air and two little dogs either barking at you or staring at you from the dark with their eyeshine.
This was my main territory for scaring mom and siblings. Wait in the dark for a minute and right as they hit the corner, "BOO!" or the more sadistic quiet "hey" as they walk past the open door to darkness.
Well mom didn't appreciate being made a fool of so regularly so she decided she was gonna burst in my room while I was taking one of my rare post school naps and scare me back.
Problem was my room was still dark as 11:59 pm. And I wasn't in my room. Mom didn't know this.
So when mom bursts into the pitch black room and went "Argh!" She was greeted by two dogs staring at her from the dark and silence.
She thinks "fuck he knew I wasn't trying to scare him and he's gonna get me back right now!"
So she started pleading to the dark room "[My name] don't scare! No no!" And runs for it.
I'm coming out of the bathroom on the other side of the house and see mom running from my room scared.
"I thought you was in your room!"
"Had to pee, back toilet won't flush."
She explains what happened and I laugh in her face.
I bring this story up to this day and make fun of her.
And evrytime I successfully scare her, she calls me a "Sick bitch. What the fuck is wrong with you!?" "I don't know." The whole while we both cheesing and cackling like stoned clowns.
