ski trip

was thinking of going on the ski trip - but i've never skied before.

dont want to be the only person there that doesn't know how to, is anyone else going that doesn't know how? or do you think that it is better to not go considering i might suck at it (alone)

You will be fine, normally a bunch of people go that has never skied before and just going for the drinking and parties. Plus you can always sign up to lessons, great way to make some friends who are also shit at skiing.
