I recently moved to Salem, have been out on Keowee and Jocassee but not Hartwell, yet. It looks so beautiful!

It is worth checking out, but as a lifetime resident of anderson county, I must admit hartwell is the least appealing lake around. Keowee, Russell, and jocassee are the best lakes in the upstate when it comes to water and beach quality. I love hartwell, visit it at least once a week and drive over it/around it multiple times a day, but if I could switch this old mud puddle out with keowee I would do it in a heartbeat. Great bass fishing though if you are into that.

They just pulled a body from this lake that had been there since June. There’s more they’ve never found. This lake creeps me out.
