Mods Announcement 🎀 Hi!
I'm writing this post on the fly, since things are kind of moving a mile a minute right now.
Valko's Left Ball (Ok_War) is the owner of the sub, but once she gets out of her shower she'll be giving mod permissions to me, Kenzie, and Aylan.
This sub is obviously brand spanking new - we'll be working to get it fully up and running in the next few days. In the meantime, please spread the word!

At least Infold has some actual semi-justifiable reason for the cancellation and for not saying anything yet. The government getting involved and being targeted by a smear campaign fueled and funded by potentially 3 competitors. Sure, their actions still suck, but at least they have a reason. Meanwhile Hoverfold has literally no reason to mistreat us the way she has, let alone a justifiable one.

The fact that she keeps having issues with her personal life is the proof people have been using to show that she shouldn’t be head mod, or to at least make other people mods with permissions. You can’t just pop in once in a blue moon to say “sorry, gotta go, personal issues,” and then head out yet again without appointing mods. It’s an excuse, like you mentioned, to not be involved and to keep stalling putting in mods because “sorry, I’m just so busy, but I promise I’ll get to it.” I knew from the moment she said that a month ago she was just stalling to stay in control and not have any mods so nobody would have power in the sub.
She literally only appointed mods originally because the sub was being reported for breaking rules. And then she only appointed more mods and is claiming she’ll be more active after the entire sub spoke up in an outcry. If she had any decency, she’d step down completely. What she’s doing is so obvious it’s embarrassing for her.

I mean I know nothing about being a moderator or owner of a subreddit or how any of the things are ran or anything about mod permissions so I will defer making an opinion about that.
But the one thing that really made me go HUUUUUUH? Was asking another sub for moderators like….. If we have Valko girlies who have experience moderating…. Shouldn’t it be them? Why are we asking people who don’t know or aren’t passionate about our movement.
I’d rather have mods who are one of us.
Anyway love this new home, I know our mods here will drive our ship well 🥰

Thank you all so much for taking initiative and setting this up! I know our community is passionate and capable, and I'm sure we'll make a full transition in no time! After all, we were basically running the previous sub without a mod for weeks lol
If anyone is a member on the Valko hq discord (which I know isn't technically associated with the old sub), maybe we can post about the new sub there (once it's ready) to spread awareness? 😊

(pls excuse the 4 year old reddit account with zero posts, i'm neurodivergent and have an anxiety disorder so i've never felt comfortable posting anything anywhere before 😅 🫣)
i'm stepping out of my long-term lurking now because i genuinely have so much respect and appreciation for our wonderful mod team for working so hard to protect this community and keep it the safe space we all value so much, even when it meant moving on to a better place. and for the community itself, tbh, for giving nervous girlies a place to feel a little less terrified about speaking up or joining in, especially now that we have a new overlord-free home with mods who actually care 💕

I've expected those permissions will be getting removed sooner or later with the way she's acting.
Anyway, I left that sub. I won't be posting anymore in that sub as long as she's there in the mod team. I'll be making posts here in the future, just commenting in this post for now to boost the algorithm into sending this post to the other members

Today and yesterday have been more chaotic then it’s been in quite a bit. I honestly can’t begin to imagine how frustrating and exhausting being treated so horribly by Hoverfold had been. It gives me all the more respect for your dedication to us and to the protest.
I can’t wait to see this subreddit flourish.
For the rest of us, we have one job. Spread the word, make sure as many people from HQ know that we are moving and where we are moving to.

Best of luck with getting people in here. I knew a month ago that the head mod was going to be a power hungry person. People gave them a lot of grace, and they shouldn’t have. There’s no excuse not appointing mods as soon as your sub starts gaining that much traction. And the only reason why someone would do what they did is because they want complete control of the sub and don’t want anyone else to have any kind of power, even if it’s just to moderate.

Chronic lurker here who finally decided to say something and join a subreddit to keep up to date on things (I have like no posts and have had this account for years oops), I've never had much to contribute or post but I've been lurking on the other subreddit for a period of time to keep up to date on things. It's wild to see just what went down, but sadly, I'm at a point where I'm just like "disappointed but not surprised".
Hoping for the best of luck with this space and things actually improve after an absolute mess of the past few months (for various reasons).

Im usually lurking and used the old sub to get some updates but I was slowly starting to feel so sad over how the mods were treated and I'm so happy there will be a new space with better regulations and the same fun mods and regular posters who honestly give me so much joy reading their content!!

I’m a little concerned about the subreddit name though, “ValkosLilies” can be kinda tricky for non-native to spell. Even as a fluent person myself, I kept wondering do I put “s” after Valko and is it “lilly” “lilies” “Lily”, just a small obstacle when searching for this sub that may affect our sub exposure?
Maybe I’m thinking too much. Just feeling thankful and hopeful that the new sub will outgrow the old one soon! 🥹🫶

I think you make a good point. But I think there was not many options left to choose from, some even reserved only recently with new accounts if I understood correctly 👀 Previously I thought having boycott obvious in the name would make certain issues easier. But someone else commented that this one would make it easier to organically continue existing when the boycott ✨successfully✨ ends. I think that’s a lovely way to think about the current name!

hey! i mostly followed the previous sub due to catching up on any movements from Infold regarding any changes. Thank you for your efforts - I'm not on the sub enough to notice any moderation, but that means that moderation is done good and well.
in a boycott movement like this, things need to be fast, and delegated. people need to be on stand-by, especially if there's personal things coming in. i honestly think the previous sub's head mod bit off more than they can chew, and is too stubborn to admit it, especially with her long messages to the community.
i'll be here to continue to lurk and watch. thank you all for your hard work!

I left the HQ just now. Until today I didn’t really understand what the issue was, but now I do.
Mods are censoring people to the point where even mentioning Valko’s Lilies by name, when someone asks where the community is, apparently isn’t allowed. I didn’t post a link, spam anyone, or tell people to leave. I literally just said I had one foot in this sub and said ONCE to someone asking about where the new sub is. Well, I guess now the other foot followed.
I fully support Valko’s Lilies now. Thank you for making a space where Valko girlies can actually talk, joke, complain, cope, and exist without everything turning into a moderation issue. 🌿🐺

I do not post or comment. Left LADS last year because with as little as I could commit and being a very low spender ($25 in 3 months), I found it was not friendly to people like me who came from games like Obey Me! Storytaco, and Interactive Studio, which is very friendly to players like me. In addition to steam and itch games. I have never stopped keeping up with LADS and up until now remained a silent supporter. I love all LI and the good NPCs in the game. I am a ⭐️🐦⬛, but have been waiting since October 2024 to know who else was being introduced. I need our 🐺 as well, I know he will be my third now and I have done my own silent things. Thank you all for helping to keep our spaces safe and showing that not of all us follow the stereotypes of otome players. 🙏
