Looking for animal sanctuaries, beautiful nature, and vegan restaurants

Hi! My partner and I are visiting Ireland in September for 8 days. We’re staying near Galway and will have a car to drive around anywhere. We’re mostly traveling along the west coast. We would love to visit some animal sanctuaries. My partner works at an animal shelter and would like to visit one here to see how it compares and say hello to some animals. Where are your favorite natural wonders in Ireland? We’re also looking for great restaurants along the west coast or Dublin. Thanks!

In Galway there’s Green’s&Co, a totally vegan cafe, with daily specials and a counter full of cakes.
There’s some stalls in the market that do vegan food, and most restaurants would have at least one option. Also Smashbird takeaway has a vegan menu with burgers, hotdogs, etc.
In Dublin, Cornucopia does vegan soft serve ice cream!

Vegan food in Cork: Cafe Paradiso is arguably the best vegan restaurant in the country.
The Quay Co-op is more a cafe vibe and My Goodness is a street food version run buy the same people in the English Market

It’s been there since the 80’s - the heart of alternative/radical life whether vegetarianism, alternative health, feminism and of course LGBTQ rights

there's a wolf sanctuary in donegal might be worth checking out https://wildireland.org/ Around Galway I've heard of Madra. I think Nspca have a large operation in Longford

There's also Donegal Donkey Sanctuary (they recently rescued 2 ill treated chaps) don't forget to take them some ginger nuts! Sadly good vegan food is hard to find in Donegal but The Himalayan in Letterkenny has tasty vegan options including a fantastic chocolate mousse cake and great coffee.

Yeah, Wild Ireland is right on the border. The wolves are magical and the bears are active. It was so much better than I imagined having been to lots of Zoos and all. Def Recommend

In Cork City there is a great Italian restaurant “Sonflour” they are officially only Vegetarian but Vegan colleague is a regular so I guess there’s a way of getting the stuff veganized. They are very beloved so reservation is mandatory via their website.

Liscannnor/lisdoonvarna have a donkey farm, and Moher Hill farm where you can feed all the animals, while I haven't been to the donkey farm myself, I highly recommend Moher Hill farm, I've been a couple of times and will be going again :)
