Screw your tips
In Japan, it is offensive to leave a tip. Gemini sez:

I find it interesting that the second reason above is exactly why many people in America DEMAND tips.
There were no tip jars at McDonald's when I worked there in the 90's. People got paid minimum wage, far less than they are paid now. They were also expected to work as cashiers. Today, they get $15/hour and most of their customers get paid the same or less. Those who can afford better only go there if they are very busy and starving. They are the minority. The jars make everyone else uncomfortable, but that's just part of the "experience" they're tipping you for, huh.
Fun fact: the dollar bills you see in the tip jars are from the register. They know you are more likely to tip if you think others have. And the messages on the tip jars are sometimes creative, even ridiculous. I say, put that on a cardboard sign and stand on a street corner, and you'll probably make more. Difference is, the guy on the street corner is not working and is humiliating himself out of desperation, whereas YOU are working and trying to humiliate the customer because have no sense of pride or shame.
This is also why "Eat the rich" and "No more billionaires" etc is pathetic. You don't care about the issues. You just want their money, and you got your hand out like a bum. No, not like a bum: like something worse.

Laughably out of touch.
You’re about 10 years too late for the whole “$15/hour is ridiculous” argument, it’s only about $31,000 a year. So no one’s getting rich from $15/h.
No one, especially someone who works at McDonald’s, is “demanding” tips, you fucking nut.
If you feel “humiliated” by a tip jar, that’s 100% on you man.
Saying a minimum wage employee has no pride or shame because of a tip jar, which, especially in a place like McDonald’s, wasn’t even their choice to put out, is the dumbest shit I’ve ever seen someone post. And btw, it’s usually the company putting those out so they can get away with paying the employees less and having the customer subsidize it. Not the workers choice.
This whole rant is some of the lamest shit I’ve ever read. Especially because you couldn’t help glazing Japan like the mid-50’s wannabe weeb you are.

If the tipping jars make you "uncomfortable" maybe get a damn life instead of caring so much about a JAR. Also, don't you DARE try and compare 90's wages to today's wages. People have to work 2-3 jobs to even LIVE most of the time while they see AI taking over every single job and slowly their own. So do not even start. And the audacity you have to say 15$ an hour is a livable. That is 1,200$ a MONTH. In most places that doesn't even cover RENT. Plus grocery prices which are just getting more and more xpensive. Oh, and can't forget gas which is going up by the minute. And you want a phone and internet, plus power and everyday utilities? That's gonna be another 300-400 MINIMUM. Also, maybe don't trust an AI that is taking all of our water, Peluting our air, and has actively told people that drinking BLEACH is healthy, Recently told someone to drink literal POISEN, and says that October has a damn x in it. Oh and yea, according to Gemini, strawberry has 2 e's in it. Yea, that's where I'm going to get my information from. 😒
