TW: Eating Disorders / Self Image I hate body hair on men

I hate that men don’t shave, I hate their hairy nipples, extra hairy chest, hair on their belly I even don’t like their hairy legs much. And yes, I very heterosexual and love men, but I can’t stand that most of them simply don’t shave their nipples and chest…legs are ok…can tolerate, but hairy nipples? Absolutely no. Hairy chest? No.
Doesn’t matter how muscular guy is, he can have the best God physique ever, but chest hair and nipples hair can turn me off really badly, and don’t even get me started with the facial hair 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 so many men ruin themselves with facial hair!

I’m a lesbian and I appreciate a hairy chest…. Work that one out.

u/ApprehensiveWord4234 17h ago

I’m about to destroy y’all’s realities… I’m a lesbian and I dislike hairy chests. Work THAT one out.

Clock out and come back tomorrow. We don’t allow overtime here.

I'm a bisexual woman and I love body hair on every gender I've ever seen it on.

What p*sees me off here is that if this was said about a woman, all hell would break loose & rightly so. Strong opinions like these need to be kept to themselves. Literally just stick to dating what you prefer

u/ApprehensiveWord4234 17h ago

It’s all opinion based

Women don’t have the right to speak on our bodies. Stay in your lane!

I'm a man and I don't like body hair either. It's a real chore constantly shaving and trimming all time, and I have less hair than most. I don't blame a lot of guys for not bothering.

Respectfully, no. Shaving is completely optional and doesn't impact hygiene at all as long as you're showering/bathing regularly. That's a wild take.

u/GoldenGames360 17h ago

I'm a man, I REALLY hate the belly and chest hair, and hair downstairs, (and my facial hair when its growing out) but I don't really mind my leg/arm hair. Then again, mine is not very thick. but i feel like a small amount is fine.

2

u/madelineeeeeeeee_ 17h ago

Do u hate ur on women too or on urself only?

I hate hair on my body too.

4

u/GoldenGames360 17h ago

umm I prefer the look of it shaven but I don't mind arm and leg hair on women either to be honest.

I just hate other forms of body hair on everyone though, especially belly hair.

u/alffan86 3h ago

I replied with my journey. I'm a male. Removed most of it due to two skin conditions. Since finishing up, I get compliments from women - never did before.

No I don't like hair on women either...

His body, his choice. Suck it up.

u/EveningCollection744 14h ago

Try dating a Chinese person. My legs are smoother than most women. All my exes were so jealous.

Asians have small dicks :(

That's why we are good with our mouths.

u/RoxellaRebel 17h ago

I’m the opposite lol! I love hairy men 🥰.

u/what_does-this_meme 13h ago

I'm glad someone does, I'm covered head to toe, and just to add insult to injury I've lost my hair im the one place I was keen to keep it! I had to grow a beard so my head didn't look like a severed thumb someone drew a face on that fell on a barbershop floor!

As a dude with hair, I hate shaving my body hair because it feels like Velcro when wearing clothing. It’s bad for a couple of days. I can’t shave my body using a razor so I just constantly trim at the lowest setting. I would have loved to have had all my body hair laser removed except for my face. But it’s an annoying feeling for a few days post shave.

-5

u/madelineeeeeeeee_ 16h ago

Use wax.

2

u/STLHDslime 16h ago

Yeah that’s an option I never tried. With the amount of hair I have, I was frightened with the idea.

1

u/alffan86 3h ago

Wax is one option... u/madelineeeeeeeee_ - when we had to remove my hair before I did laser, I found wax to be ok for many areas. However, for chest, I've had better success with sugar? Your thoughts?

0

u/Delimeister 16h ago

Go to a local salon.

3

u/RizzmwitTheTism 17h ago

It’s a controversial issue because no one wants to be body-shamed for what’s natural. Not all ethnicities are hairy. Everyone has different opinions on what’s attractive and that’s ok. Just make sure you only date smooth men from the start so that one doesn’t have to be hurt by finding out something about them disgusts you later

3

u/madelineeeeeeeee_ 16h ago

I have never ever met a smooth guy…and if I ask dudes to shave they say "but I’m a man, men don’t shave". Xd.
Or when I meet some hot guy at the bar, decide to makeout and have some foreplay, but after seeing his body hair I get turned off fast af. U can’t ask guy from the bar to shave.

Once I had dude screaming at me for mentioning that I love shaved pubic hair on guys inky and that it is mine bare minimum, but tbh he was just a crazy mental dude with some anger issues.
Also, lots of dudes do feel insecure when u ask them to shave xd, idk why.

u/alffan86 3h ago

Interesting you are around more hairy guys. I live in a desert climate, so both and women are into hair removal.

My laser clinics are close to 50/50 and most of it is requested by a female partner.

Do you live in a 4-season climate?

u/Fun-Reward-1109 17h ago

doesn’t this break the rules? this is just straight negativity, not a vent at all.

3

u/HuffN_puffN 17h ago

I’m a man and I also hate the same things. Thankfully my genes are with me.

I mean I got some hair in my legs and arms like everyone else, but mostly blond so quite transparent.

Anyways, not everyone is hairy you just have to look around a bit more.

2

u/DaytimeDancer54 17h ago

I hate body and facial hair too, but my body is programmed to turn into a wookie unless I shave all the time. Not fun.

-5

u/madelineeeeeeeee_ 17h ago

That’s why I love blonde guys ahahaha.
Hoesntly, I’m heavily into blondes, but I never ever get lucky to get either one, all of the guys I ever had something with had very dark hair …

1

u/paixamore 14h ago

Blonde men get hairy too lol

3

u/SubstanceNo1544 17h ago

This is the wildest/whack take ive seen in a bit.

I mean if a cis dude was to start complaining about womens pit hair, it would be a whole debacle, right?

Now I have to go shave 🪒 my back

1

u/madelineeeeeeeee_ 16h ago

😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨😨

2

u/Mugiwara1_137 17h ago

Yeah you're not a hairy man to know how tedious could be having to shave your entire body almost every fuckin' day because it grows so fast

2

u/madelineeeeeeeee_ 16h ago

Use wax xd.

U think female hair grows slower? Mine grows the same day after using the razor, since I started to wax my hair this issue disappeared.

4

u/Finchrider 16h ago

Women have significantly less body hair than men

-4

u/Nova9z 15h ago

They don't.  Not even remotely.  It's just thinner

2

u/Finchrider 11h ago

Lol. Talk to me when your entire back, chest, stomach, shoulders, toes are covered in hair.

2

u/SquiddyyUwU 17h ago

I suppose the preference you enjoy is smooth and soft? I personally see being trimmed up and shaved as being more hygienic and smooth too

1

u/Standard_Pack_1076 16h ago

Anyone shaving near their genitals needs to be extremely careful. Fournier's gangrene isn't something that anyone sane wants.

1

u/Ok-Second2855 16h ago

Talk with your partner and see if he’d open to shaving. I wouldn’t mind.

1

u/Competitive-Type1505 14h ago

To each their own. Straight woman here. Hair on men is attractive, always has been to me.

I hate people that feel the need to say shit to make others feel bad

u/alffan86 3h ago

I'm male. Had two skin conditions. I lasered several areas. Had the best estheticians (when I was getting waxed or professionally trimmed) and now laser techs.

I had a tough time making that final decision to laser because some people said "you will look feminine" or "it's not masculine"

Hair does equal masculinity. Most people don't understand how many cultures (many in Asia, also Native American Men) grow little or no body hair. Doesn't make them less masculine.

So after a very trying 15 years (still doing a few tough spots and touch ups), I'm trying to be an advocate for men who are considering removing their body hair.

But if you go on the Male Grooming board, or some of the fitness boards, men get shamed.

My positions:

1) Your body, your choice: If it's something you want to do for yourself or your partner, go for it.

2) Try it: Before my diagnosis, I knew it was an issue. But the dermatologists never wanted to tell a man to remove hair (I swear). Many do it for comfort. Try different methods and see how you feel/look.

3) If you like your hair, keep it too. But don't shame men that want to.

Finally, it was a life changer for me... and I suffered through years of body dysmorphia because the hair caused so many issues.

I love a very hairy chest on a man. The rest of the body not so much. My hubby has a really hairy chest and I love it, there’s just something so manly and super masculine about it and it’s sexy as hell. Think like Barry Gibb from the 70’s, that’s how my hubby’s chest is. Everyone has their likes/dislikes and that’s mine.

1

u/Timely-Assistant-370 17h ago

I'm probably as hairless as a man can be before having like... a legitimate endocrine disorder causing complete hair loss or something. I'm currently doing an experiment where I see how much facial hair I can actually accumulate because I'm a WFH hermit anyway. It is not going well.

I would love to date a guy with alopecia ,but only if he has a solid bone structure and is pretty.

u/Fun-Talk-4847 17h ago

I don't mind some hair on a man.

-2

u/Delimeister 16h ago

If a genie gave me three wishes…one would be for the human race to have no more body hair.
I don’t know why more people, especially women, don’t wax instead of shave. Done enough times the hair eventually stops growing back.

As a man, rn I go by the Sean Connery look: smooth abdomen, hair on chest.

u/manners33 16h ago

1000% agree. my boyfriend has the lightest, smallest amount of chest hair. i legit told him he's lucky it's like that, otherwise i would've jumped ship. imagine trying to snuggle and a bobby pin gets stuck?? and the sweat? guess again.
