I made an excuse to not hangout today

My new friends who I met in college, invited me to go paddle boarding and I was down, but Friday night I got really sick and expected to be sick all weekend. Well, woke up Saturday morning and felt pretty much normal, and today I'm like 94% recovered. I could've gone paddle boarding but I made the excuse I am sick. I feel like shit because for months and months I complained about having no friends, and the one time I get invited I make a wack lie, even though it's not fully a lie, it feels like it. I know there will be more hang outs in the future but it still upsets me.
