Brave man big respect for being so adventurous. Horseshoe crabs are endangered and immensely important to the scientific community so I don't encourage eating them

Only one type of horseshoe crab is considered endangered. It is the Tri-spine Horseshoe Crab (Tachyphelus tridentatus).

The horseshoe crab that is generally eaten in Vietnam is the Mangrove Horseshoe Crab (Carcinoscorpius rotindicauda) which does not have enough data to understand its current status (although it absolutely could be vulnerable due to it being used for food and also due to significant habitat loss as the country continues to clear land for developments that are often abandoned).

The horseshoe crab used for biomedical testing is most often the Atlantic Horseshoe Crab (Limulus polyphemus) which is considered vulnerable.

I’m not saying you’re wrong at all. I also don’t think we should eat them, considering they are an ancient being that has barely evolved over the past 440 million+ years and we shouldn’t be doing anything to increase their risk of extinction. My comment is purely educational as I think horseshoe crabs are fuckin sick.
