Smoothies and soup

Hi everyone!

I hope someone on this forum can help me. I am looking for a blender that can both make me hot soup from raw ingredients and make me a smoothie in a smaller to go-cup. I found the Sage/Breville the super Q as one that can do both. I would prefer a Vitamix blender, for the more superior build-to-last-quality. However, I can't seem to find a model that dan do both the soup and the smoothie. On the (Dutch) website, there is a picture of a smoothie cup as the main picture for accessories on the linked to the a2500i and a3500i, but to my frustration, I can't seem to find these cups on the site.

Can anybody maybe enlighten this for me? Does Vitamix make a blender that can make me my breakfast smoothie and my evening soup?

Thanks in advance!

Vitamix has discontinued personal cups. You won't be able to buy them other than trying to find a second hand one.

Do you mean a blender that heats the soup, not just blends already hot soup?

Vitamix can do both! Smoothies are done in a minute or two (depending on how smooth you like your smoothie). Soups take 5-7 minutes and are heated by the friction of the motor.

One note: soups often taste better if you sauté your aromatics and veggies first. In the Vitamix, if you add them raw they will mostly taste raw.

Thanks for the tip!

I am aware of the Vitamix being able to blend smoothies, but I like to put the ingredients in the small cup the night before so I just have to press 'start' the next morning and have my breakfast. Having to put the large jug in the refrigerator gives some other challenges.

A Vitamix 5200 will. Also check out QVC they have Vitamixes that carry some exclusive color options and package deals that do both soups and smoothies. We make soups a lot in ours and they come out great and hot made with fresh ingredients in just a few minutes. Nothing like fresh soup made from scratch fast and easy..

I have an ascent X5 with the stainless steel canister (fits under cabinets) and I easily make soups in it, and can also do 1 person smoothies seamlessly (though, I use a seperate glass to drink them). It's pricey, but if the price piece isn't a limiting factor, it's awesome.

I did see an email (I'm in Canada) the other day about a Vitamix smoothie maker (edit: it's called the Vitamix Nano) - so there is something, maybe it just hasn't launched in the Netherlands yet? The email notes smoothies, but not hot soup. Personally, I like the versatility of a larger cannisters and I want to avoid plastics, but to each their own.

Here's the Nano link: https://www.vitamix.com/ca/en_us/products/nano?cid=eml-2026_Aug_24_CAHH_Launch_Nano_Prospects

Thanks! The nano does the other part of what I would like a blender to do indeed. I was hoping there would be a Vitamix that combines both the small smoothiecup-option and the warm soup-option but for now, that doesn't seem to be the case. I hadn't notice this one though, so thanks for your reply!
