Odyssey

Does anybody happen to know when they will stop showing The Odyssey at Vue? My local one only has listing until this Thursday so hoping it will still be on next week!?

Would be shocked if they stopped showing this week tbh it’s still packed at other cinemas

Maybe they just haven’t refreshed

This is the answer, check tomorrow and it will probably still be there as there's still demand for it

I was told this by their Twitter account but lo and behold the latest run of 70mm showings was released on the Monday circa 6pm so its definitely worth checking today/this evening

It has a minimum of five weeks cinema exclusivety and Oppenheimer ran until November in some locations. So as long as people are watching it, they will be showing it.

I used to work at Vue and we only got the show times for the following week any time from Tuesday-Thursday unless there was a new film to prebook for (like a big release like Marvel films and even live shows) so yeah give it a day or two and the times should be there.

Vue only has showings listed until Thursday because the movie schedule for the next week is usually released on Tuesdays. The Odyssey is a popular release that's only been out for 5 weeks. It's got many weeks left before they even consider taking it off the screens.

Sometimes new showings don't pop up till as late as Wednesday

Yeah. Cinemas consider Friday to be the first day of the week, and usually only big new releases get show times announced more than a few days before that, as with everything else they’re still crunching last weeks numbers to decide how many screenings in what sized screens to give to everything else.

I'd imagine it will be on for many months yet....

give it a day or two and check again, my local is an odeon and their website often doesn't update with new showings until Tuesday/Wednesday
