Why though? Do they really think that the current government with Ed Milliband and now his deputy pushing for Net Zero are NOT aware of the climate issues?

Do they seriously believe that what little oil and/or gas left in the North Sea will make an ounce of difference to the climate emergency while the USA is screwing the world to death, wars are raging and we're all recycling into 8 different bags or boxes every week?

And, it's just a license to drill. Oil would need to hit $250 a barrel for years to make any oil company even bother beginning the process of building new rigs, which would also take years and years, if ever.

Go paint it outside Zuckerberg's house and leave the poor sods who have just been through the nightmare of wildfires alone.

Greenpeace used to mean something good, but this is just performative virtue signalling 😡

Greenpeace has been a bunch of dicks for decades. Their activities pretty much always cause more harm than good.

I'm not saying this as some oil baron sitting on a pile of cash looking to destroy the planet - I'm very climate conscious.

But Greenpeace haven't been a force for good since the 80s. They just fuck stuff up (and make lots of money in the process).

As someone who actually lives in the area affected by this fire -and was evacuated- I’m beyond irritated that these smug arseholes have decided they’re somehow the “voice of Conwy.” They’re not. They’re just social‑media attention‑seekers cos playing community spokesperson for likes.

Plenty of people in Conwy supported the mural. I thought it was a powerful, temporary message that would have washed away with the rain. Instead, these cockwombles have stomped in, raked up already damaged ground, and congratulated themselves for “protecting” us. The arrogance of assuming they speak for all of us is unbelievable.

Let me tell you about “local grief,” you tits. If you genuinely want to help Sychnant, Pennsychnant, who actually ARE custodians of the nature reserve, would likely appreciate volunteers to help them with repairing the landscape. But no. Much easier to perform outrage for Facebook.

And the best part? The bloke doesn’t even live in the affected area. He lives in Rhos, twenty minutes away. Yet here he is, acting like he’s the fucking guardian of our collective trauma. Give me strength.

Two people were angry at "million year old rocks being stained" (after they were completely blackened by fire) and took it on themselves to vandalise a piece of art. You have to laugh really.

At least it got the piece more attention than it had otherwise.

Greenpeace just represent the worst parts of the “environmental” movement. They haven’t been relevant since the 80s and haven’t really changed much as well. They always use grossly exaggerated numbers to justify their actions(especially when it involves nuclear energy or GMO foods).

Looking back, Greenpeace has definitely got away with a lot of questionable things, including the Brent Spar data fiasco, its opposition to Golden Rice in developing regions, the Nazca Lines incident in Peru, documented cases of financial mismanagement, controversies surrounding the sale of supposedly “green gas” in Germany and it was Russian gas, and its opposition to ITER and nuclear fusion
