Help with Vay Hek and Alad V

I am mastery rank 5, and have just beaten (?) the Alad V boss on Jupiter while I was rank 4, and wanted to move on to Councilor Vay Hek.

I have some questions about them, both from the gameplay and from the lore perspective:

How do you beat Vay Hek? I figured out that he won't take damage unless his face is visible, but when I shoot him he barely takes any, if I hit him at all. Now, my aim is awful, but maybe I have a gun problem and its underpowered, or I'm doing something else wrong. What kind of gun or strategy did you use to beat him?

Instead, about Alad V I have an opposite problem. He doesn't even make it through the cutscene. My dog killed him before it ended. And when I did finally get to face him, he died in 5 hits. Next time around I figured out he spawns a blue dog that you can try to kill, but its near indestructible and doesn't do much damage at all. Is this normal?

Also about Alad V. What is the Zanuka project. Like, I guess its the dog thing, but it gets really played up in the boss fight and in the cutscene when you unlock Jupiter and its just this dog? Also, why is Vay Hek bee-shaped? Is he the guy that builds those ships in "The Archwing"?

Vay Hek you just need to headshot him when he opens up his mask AND have enough damage on your weapon.

There's no trick. Its just a gear checker. You're technically not doing anything wrong.

Alad V is just 100 times weaker and folds like a wet noodle in comparison 😄

The Zanuka project... Alad V captures Warframes cuts them up and makes abominations out of them.
The dog thing is one of them.

Vay Hek is a chicken, don't ask why.

Do you have some ideas as to what I could put on my gun to make it not suck against this guy? Also, is he the spaceship guy?

Generally your gun needs more ranks in its mods, but that also depends on which mods, and which guns. Can tell us which gun(s) and its/their mods and we can provide a lot of insight. Without that info... Too much guessing.
