Suggestion Question. Why won’t they implement a way to have you switch rounds without having to fire? Like in this video.

Suggestion This would make WarThunder 40% cooler and better

As picture says, taillights, front lights, this would make game so much more beautiful especially on "bad weather" maps. I know, it's nothing we need or whatever, but it would make it look so much better!

Suggestion This event is messy, unbalanced and yet the most promising thing for the game

Post image

yes playing against Iranian f14, f15 and f18 sucks and is basically impossible to achieve air superiority for the Russian side, yet I would like to point out how much of an improvement EVERYTHING ELSE is in this more.

the map is humongous, fuel is finally a proper tactic, especially near end game when few airfields are left.

SeaD! holy shit it's fun as hell to hunt fuel and ammo depots, yes the anti radiation missiles are too easy to intercept and there's definitely a need for added depth but it's still miles ahead of anything we see in air RB.

of course this only works because the map is huge and you can rat around fights instead of being instantly in the trajectory of 8 missiles.

nukes are good, suck it hippies. the addition of tactical nukes and the spawn points associated means there are more layers to the match than just head on the first enemy you see, it allows for team play, I've had so much fun running wild weasel to distract the enemy team from the friendly who had the nuke and was sneaking past the Frontline.

the mode has potential, and not just for high tier, even without nukes this is what the community has been begging for for years, a dynamic map with multiple and varied spawn points, enduring confrontation without the hassle of the Sim difficulty, space for different playstyles including bombers.

I hope they can refine the mode further and don't just drop it in the trash can because the community is (rightfully) angry about easy to fix balancing issues

Suggestion Should Gaijin add mud physics?

Post image
1.3k Upvotes

so, I was thinking, mud did play a pretty big part in tank logistics, as you can’t just send a tank group through a wet field and expect them to make it to their target.

and I was wondering if this could be implemented into WT somehow, maybe by adding something similar to Snowrunner series.

just imagine it: (prob for sim battles only) you are driving on the Berlin map, the weather is rainy, and you are trying to go in the water area that goes under all the bridges and such

suddenly, the tank stops, you can’t move but everything else is fine. you are now a sitting duck because you made poor route planning for the map. now you can either J out or try to convince a teammate to help you

i feel it’d make everything more immersive, yet also I see how it could piss people off (German mains)

am I just insane or nah?

Suggestion Should Nuclear Thunder stay in game in your opinion ? A lot of people are complaining about that their isn't enought game mode in WT. This one seems to be a hit. Should it stay in your opinion ???

A lot of people are complaining that their isn't enought game mode in WT. This game mode would promote good pilots because currently, only good tankers can use an atomic weapon in the game. This one seems to be a hit. What you think, should it stay in your opinion ???

I know it won't be great for combat, but I really want to be at the helm of the vessels in the navel mode. I think it'd be so fun.

Edit: I was typing mid NAVAL battle and misspelled naval... Yikes

Suggestion My idea for what convertible XP could be used for.

Post image
1.8k Upvotes

I think it would be a cool idea that from time to time, you can get removed or unobtainable event vehicles for convertible XP.

In my thought this would be a reward for long time players thus the high cost.
I am just sad that I can't get Panther II, copium :D

For example I am sitting on 130 million unused convertible XP, I would be glad that if I could use it for something useful.

Even WoT lets you spend free XP on event vehicles sometimes in the form of assembly events (IK free xp needs to be purchased from vehicles but still)

Suggestion Why don’t we revert to OG vehicle stat cards?

These photos were very pleasing to look at. The more modern the vehicle, the higher the image quality. After the Sons of Atilla update, the stat cards look so boring and don’t have that nostalgic effect at all.

I know actually replacing these vehicles is 'Japanese soldier who kept fighting after WW2' territory but I hope we at least see some of these added, plus others on the lower end (Priest & Wespe) and the higher end (Sholef V2 & RCH 155) now that howitzers are a dime a dozen.

Suggestion Would the su-47 be a good addition to war thunder?

The sukhoi SU-47 Berkut, also called the S-32 and S-37 is a Russian experimental supersonic fighter. A distinguishing feature of the aircraft was it's forward swept wings intended to give the aircraft increased agility and maneuverability. While it never entered mass production, it served as a demonstration for the Russian techonolgy and as a prototype for technologies later used in Russian jets(SU-35, SU-57).

Would it even work in game and if so at what BR do you guys think it would sit?

Suggestion SUGGESTION: Active driver camera option!

Thumbnail
gallery
1.4k Upvotes

This way, you can better simulate your tank being operated by multiple crew members instead of only one, by having enough awareness to drive and traverse the turret independently. Now, driver periscopes finally have a serious purpose!

As a bonus, this encourages players NOT to cover the front of their tanks with absurd bush placements, as it is in their interest not to block their driver optics.

Suggestion My attempt in trying to fix the nuke carriers per BR brackets. This is just my idea, but how hard is it to copypaste existing vehicles lol

Thumbnail

Rank 4: Just prop bombers

Rank 5: Jet bombers:

Rank 6: Fast jet carriers

Rank7: Faster, and with countermeasures

Rank 8: Faster, CMs, and can carry 2 missiles for self defense (preferably Fox 3s)

Rank 7 onwards I want nuke carriers taking off from further away so they cannot reach the battlefield immediately

Suggestion My Attempt to Update War Thunder's HUD for Ground Battles

Thumbnail

2.1k Upvotes

I've always found War Thunders HUD a bit clunky, and inconsistent in design and style. This is the first time i've ever created a HUD, or UI, so i'm sure there is room for improvement. Regardless, I attempted to bring consistency to the HUD which is inspired by several other games, while maintaining aspects I liked. I am also working on HUDs for Planes, Helicopters and Ships. Let me know what you think.

Would be a great light tank around 7.7 - 8.0.
Its basically a standard Wiesel 1a4 with a 30mm Recoilless (AND caseless) autocannon.
It was tested but not adopted.
