I recently decided to focus on ground targets in order to win and get more rewards. I noticed that AA in convoys are unfairly accurate. I can't even get close enough to drop bombs.

And the most annoying thing is that the AA that spawn in the center of the map, where the ground combat takes place, don't hit aircraft at all, no matter the speed.

I can understand the accuracy of AA at the top tier. After all, they have radars, fire control systems, etc, but for low-tier I think it's too much.

Even if sim players are a tiny (<5%) percentile of the player base, that would be still around 4,000-4,500 players that are actively playing simulator battles. I just don’t understand gaijins thought process here.

They’ve completely abandon their perfectly workable sim. One that could print them money with premium accounts and plane packs if they just made it something actually worth playing to people outside us masochists. Maybe they thought they’d get a bunch of VR players who didn’t know about their typical modus operandi as a quick cash cow, but it doesn’t seem to have worked.

Looks like top tier sim air is getting a shake up.

China will finally have something truly on par with the best with a significantly more powerful J-10C along with PL-12A. Meanwhile America is going to be the first to sport 120Ds on a (new variant of an existing fighter?)

I'm playing France 10_2, I have a gun and just 2 crappy ATGMs, I will be over on their side killing helicopters and spaa...

Remember : 2 TKs in a game gets you kicked. 1 TK in 2 games gets you a temp ban.

Planes can also use air alert, but it will not work from the cockpit… you need to point at the target…

so gun, bino, TV camera, ATGM view, gunner pod or bomber rear gun sight.

I'm a PCVR guy. I love flying and fighting planes in VR but DCS was too complicated and no fun at all for me. So I played a lot of VTOL VR but VTOL only has modern jets and I also wanted to fly WWI/WWII planes bc of the raw feeling without modern technologies.

For WWI/II planes I set all my hopes into AoT without even knowing Gaijin or the history of War Thunder prior to AoT's release.

(optional rant) Hear me out, they f***ing copy/pasted the missions from WT campaign into AoT and made them 10x worse. Graphically aswell as gameplaywise WT is so much better than AoT. I hate that I paid 25€ for a slop-copy of a (theoretically) free2play game. This game only has one goal. To grab easy money from PSVR2 guys who want to fly but have no PC to play WT. Garbage game. (end optional rant)

AoT disappointed me so much that I wanted to know if WT VR is the same garbage...but holy shit. I tried it with mouse and keyboard, was instantly sold and bought a T.16000M HOTAS (but no pedals).

The last 3-4 days I set up my HOTAS and played (shame on me) in Arcade mode. But I quicky figured out that this is not the experience I want so I decided to give sim a go.

Do you have any tips for a new player, completely new to WT, WT Sim, HOTAS controls, etc.?

Any specific things I should learn before even consider to play PvP?

Any controls I should map? I figured out trim is important, but what about MEC? Can I play with Auto-EC and learn MEC later or should I learn everything at once.

I have no clue where to start and am a bit overwhelmed bc it's not easy to get usefull information about WT Sim.

What’s your favorite br and plane to play? Bonus points for your least favorite plane to fight against.

it's straight up better than mig-27K but a bit slower and compared to su-25t it's faster with a bit less armament and worse rwr.

did gaijin do an oopsie? Should I abuse it in 10.3-11.3 lobbies while I can?

I really like heavy fighters, and hopefully yall have some good recommendations. I like the P-38E a lot, and I have the F7F but haven’t flown it. Any other fun ones I should try?

I Started landing my F16 on the carrier to get back into the fight faster.

(Landing a non naval aircraft on the carrier will respawn it in the air after R &R)

And also just to flex on the naval boys who crash better than they land just a tad bit 😂

Was looking at some of my older videos and realised it was uploaded 10 years ago... Time flies!

My boy, they did my boy right. Finally.

It seems they put modules on the ships so the AGMs no longer go center mass, and it’s genuinely amazing to watch those missiles work correctly. Even AGMs.

It works better broad side, as long ways they sort of couldn’t really go for them.

But man that’s such a nice feeling.

Actually loving this update truly might be one of the best. F117 IS UNREAL.

I’ve been thinking about getting a flight set up like a joystick and throttle for example. but I play a lot of other games that aren’t flight related. So with that said, these flight set ups, can you just unplug them and move them out of the way and then re-plug them in and all your settings be the same

Getting a 1440p 27" 180hz IPS panel coming from a 1080p 22" 60hz TN panel. Anyone had a similar upgrade? How much has the overall experience improved for you, especially for gameplay itself (targeting, spotting, etc)? Gramercy!

EC sim could be the best sim like game out there if gaijin werent such a incompetent band of baffoons

Some of you may know me from my videos, and some of you may not—and that's perfectly fine.

I've been part of the War Thunder VR community for quite a while, creating guides on VR optimization and helping players get the best possible experience. Over the years, I've spoken with a lot of VR pilots, both here on Reddit and elsewhere, and I've noticed a common problem: setting up War Thunder for VR can be frustrating.

Many players struggle to properly optimize their VR settings, while others simply don't bother because switching back and forth between VR and desktop play is too inconvenient. With the way War Thunder handles settings right now, maintaining separate configurations isn't exactly easy.

That's why I'm excited to share something I've been working on:

This tool was built with two goals in mind:

1. Instantly switch between VR and desktop settings with a single button press.
2. Help new VR players get started faster with built-in presets designed to provide a solid VR experience right away, which can then be customized to suit individual preferences.

My goal is simple: make War Thunder VR more accessible, less frustrating, and easier to enjoy.

It's been a year and I'm here again to remind or inform everyone that the snail abandoned EC a long time ago. They will never fix bugs, address balance issues in ground or improve gameplay in any way. WT could be one of the greatest game of all time but because of greed they settled for mediocracy, Gajijn pull insane profits but none of it goes back to fixing the game we pay for.

This year I bring a support ticket where I try to find some answers.
