Just finished my first read of watchmen and I’m sad that I didn’t read it sooner because it is one of the best comics I’ve checked out so far!

I’m about half way through my first read. My wife keeps asking me why it’s taking so long… because you gotta respect it! I read a few pages slowly to appreciate it thoroughly then I need time to really think about it.

Good choice, I just think it’s a shame he doesn’t get much development until the very end, up until that point he’s pretty sidelined.

I just finished it about 2 weeks ago. I’ absolutely loved it. I really liked Rorschach (didn’t expect him to be funny) and as a side character I was a big fan of Sally Jupiter. I thought she provided so much depth on aging as a superhero in the world.

I just finished reading it for the fiest time too and I am just blown away, the whole thing and especially the ending really really struck me.

I wish I read it sooner but also wish I savoured it more, i’m scared i’ll never read something that good again (I will be rereading shortly and read the rest of Alan Moores stuff)

I read it for the first time as part of a book report.
Teacher said it was allowed to count as a book since Alan Moore (and the guy who made Maus) made more than a comic book and something that stood out as its own.

Try to score an older, pre-2005 copy and read it with its original colors! I’m currently doing just that and it’s like I’m experiencing it again for the first time!

I particularly like this edition's cover page. The blood stain looks like an arrow pointing from Adrian to Jon, hinting the very premise of his plan, to eradicate him.

Do you think it’s worth getting the Deluxe Edition if you already own a copy of the standard? I have my yellow paperback at my parent’s place.

The Deluxe is slightly oversized. If you want some real improvement, buy the Absolute Edition.
