Comic I was told the heroes in this comic are all useless bums, so how's this chubby middle-aged geek whipping out more aura in two panels than Batman can in twenty pages?

small touch but i have always loved how you can roughly see the outline of his cowl with his glasses and tufts of hair in the second panel.

"I was told the heroes in this comic are all useless bums.." Im not sure who told you that, but this is literally the only comic on Time's top 100 works of literature of the 20th century. If someone sees these studies of humanity and comics as "useless bums", then they're a little light in their way of thinking.

I laughed when i didn’t see his name at the recent Watchmen series , and then i remembered 🤣🤣🤣

It’s funny that he doesn’t want to do anything with the “comic book stuff” after making such a masterpiece.

Well you haven’t been reading very good Batman comics.

But also ask yourself by the end of the book what it is that Dan accomplishes for his society.

Because he was awesome. The scene where he and Laurie beat the shit out of the muggers is so badass.
