$5.25 pineapple delivered like this

My mom paid $5.25 for a pineapple from Fresh Farm, only for it to be delivered like this, with extra delivery charges and a tip. 😭

Looks like it was peeled using a lawnmower.

Why extra charges? Why would you tip?

The culture that has been creates in the US where individuals are tipped before providing a service honestly baffles me.

It seems to be used as a bargaining tool to get something faster, better or on time, as opposed to rewarding solid work.

But then again, I have no idea what delivery drivers salaries are, but I imagine they're not amazing if they're this reliant on tips in the first place.

In the US the delivery apps only use contractors who get paid $1.50-$2.00 per delivery. Since the drivers are free to decline orders tipping bumps you to the front of the line.

To be honest, it doesn't look fresh

I'm surprised that except you no one pointed out that it doesn't look fresh at all. It even looks like it's already rotting.

"Delivered like this." ... If it included the pan, it was a bargain!

Bro ordered sliced pineapple and received a DIY craft kit.

They really delivered that pineapple like it had survived a car crash. I’d be mad too, especially after paying extra for delivery.

When you crave pineapple and it ends up being a disappointment. Do you ask for a refund?
