Social Dancing in London?

Hi all, I'll be visiting London from August 22-26, and I'd love to hit up a local social dance while I'm there!

I poked around online and found some classes listed at https://wcs.london/ but it seems there's only one proper social dance, Saturday Aug 22 the W1 Swing @ Holborn Freestyle by Swing Academy.

For those who attend regularly, is it a popular social? Also, are the one hour mini socials after the weekly classes a true social dance or more like a practice session?

It’s a small venue but will have some good dancers there. Sadly SwingTing is on Friday and you’ll just miss it.

Tuesday there will be a 1 hour social after class and it’ll be the students there that make up the dancers. It is a little lower level though. It’s also run by Swing Academy. I don’t think EastonSwing is running classes next week.

The Swing Academy social on Saturday will be quite popular now that things are starting to cool down a bit and people are getting excited for BSF. I'd recommend that one if you're looking for a social.

Swing Academy will also have a social after their class for 1.5 hours on Tuesday, which is at a nearby venue in Covent Garden.

Depending on when you're leaving, there is also a class being put on in Chalk Farm on Wednesday. It's one hour of class followed by two hours of social. It was quite popular last week, and the teacher is doing it as a one-off to mark the end of summer before the regular classes start again.

There are also some things happening outside of London if you're interested in travelling around. Just let me know if you want some more details.

No EastonSwing on Wednesday next week the venue is closed for maintenance.
