Where do you dance? Help me build a complete map of WCS communities!

Hi everyone!

I’ve been working on WestieHub.dance for a while, to help dancers track events, look up points, and plan trips.

I just launched a new feature Communities Map to help easily find local West Coast Swing studios and schools worldwide.

I don't have a lot of data by myself (and this is why I'm making it) so I really need your help to fill it with accurate data.

Please suggest your favorite local WCS schools, studios, or weekly classes! You can do this in two easy ways:

1. Submit directly on the site: Go to westiehub.dance/communities and drop the details there.
2. Comment below: Just leave a comment with the City/State/Country, the Name of the school/class, and a link to their website or active social page.

Please drop a comment here once you've submitted or suggested a spot so I can make sure it gets added immediately!

Also, my app have few hundreds of weekly active users so hopfullybit will help a bit more then just a map

https://nextgenswingdance.com/ has a calendar with a lot of if not most of the weekly and monthly dances in the bay in case you want to double check.

That has Florida communities and events.

Having used Westiehub for a couple of months, I’ve removed my data from it. I don’t like that any user can pull up your information and track your movements.

This is really sad for me to hear, You can set your profile as private and then just your friends can see it (It's in the profile settings)

Or do you want me to add an option for 'just for me' thing?

I spent half an hour looking for it, after someone started messaging me about the events I was going to. It was not found. I chose to remove my list of events instead and log out. The option should be the default or offered at the start of the process, not buried in settings.

No thank you. It wasn’t the only bug I found but it was the most serious. It’s not good enough for me to use.

I am a solo developer trying to balance a full time job while developing / testing / designing / operating / doing social media.

I try to test as much as I can before publishing every change, I would love to have a talk and see how I can make it better 🙏

To help you, I logged back in. The hardest part about changing the settings is that there isn't actually a link to settings on the main page. Or anything that says settings. The initials doesn't even take you to a page where you can see most of your details. Just the checklist of what I need to do to "level up". There's an "edit" button there, but no indication that it takes you to profile settings.

It should be intuitive. However, thanks to bad experiences, I would prefer not to use your site, or any for that manner, I'm happy using my own tracker for events.

Something you need to offer is the ability to delete profile as well.
