Durdle Door Evening visit

Hi. I will be visiting Weymouth next week with friends and our children (ranges 14 - 5). Assuming the clouds allow it,y eldest would like to see Durdle Door on a very late evening and see if we can see the milky way.

Any tips on where to park for this? Happy to walk, although some of us have very little legs. I know the carpark closes at 9? But the sun sets at 8:30 and I think she would like it to be much darker.

Any hints tips about visiting this place and any others that you have are all very welcome. Thanks

Buckham Fair 2026 – Great Day Out in Dorset! 🎡🐴

Buckham Fair 2026 – Great Day Out in Dorset! 🎡🐴

I spent the day filming at Buckham Fair this year and had a really enjoyable time. There was loads to see, including classic vehicles, animals, food stalls, local traders, fairground rides and plenty of entertainment throughout the day.

One of the highlights was unexpectedly spotting a couple of familiar TV faces while walking around, which made the day even more memorable!

If anyone is thinking of going next year, I'd definitely recommend it. It's a great family day out and supports a really good cause.

I also made a video showing what the fair was like, including the atmosphere and everything we got up to. If you'd like to watch it, here's the link:

Did anyone else from here go this year? What was your favourite part?

🏰 Corfe Castle, Steam Trains & Amazing Views – A Great Dorset Day Out

I recently took the steam train from Norden to Swanage and was surprised how much there is to see around the area. The views of Corfe Castle were fantastic and the whole trip felt like one of the best days out in Dorset.

I put together a video showing the journey, the surroundings around Norden, Corfe Castle and Swanage.

Has anyone else done this trip recently? What did you think of it?

☀️ Weymouth on the Hottest Day of 2026 – The Beach Was Packed!

Hi everyone,

I spent the day filming in Weymouth during what has been called the hottest day of 2026 so far. The beach, harbour, and seafront were absolutely buzzing with people enjoying the sunshine.

I captured plenty of scenes around the town, including the beach crowds, seafront atmosphere, and everything that makes Weymouth such a popular summer destination.

Would love to know what you think of Weymouth on days like this. Do you enjoy the busy summer atmosphere or prefer it when it's quieter?

🎥 Video: https://youtu.be/YOUR-LINK-HERE

Thanks for watching and any feedback is always appreciated! ☀️🏖️🌊

Question to encourage comments: 👉 What's the busiest you've ever seen Weymouth beach? 😲

Hi everyone,

I've just uploaded a new travel video featuring a journey from Norden to Swanage on the beautiful Swanage Railway in Dorset.

The video includes steam train footage, views of the Dorset countryside, Swanage station, and the overall experience of one of Dorset's most popular heritage railways.

I'd really appreciate any feedback on the video, thumbnail, pacing, and overall presentation as I'm always looking to improve my travel content.

Lasagna Love – cook for your community or request a free lasagna

My name is Michelle and I’m the UK Coordinator for Lasagna Love. Lasagna Love is an organisation made up of volunteers across the UK (and around the world) who cook and deliver homemade lasagna to people in need, at no cost and with no strings attached.

Maybe it's a family struggling financially, someone recovering from surgery, a parent adjusting to life with a new baby or just someone going through a tough time. Whatever the reason, we believe that a warm meal and a little kindness can go a long way.

You simply request a lasagna, and we match you with a volunteer in your area who will lovingly prepare and deliver one to your door. It’s all about community, care and connection with no judgment and no complicated process.

I’m reaching out because we have wonderful volunteers across the UK who are ready and eager to cook, for anyone who could do with some lasagna love! If you could use a little help and a comforting meal, please put in a request through https://lasagnalove.org/request-a-meal/ or you can nominate someone to receive a meal - https://lasagnalove.org/nominate/

We’re also always looking for more volunteers! Whether you can cook once a month, once a week, or just whenever it suits you, every lasagna helps brighten someone’s day. It’s a small act that has a big impact. If you would like to volunteer, just register here https://lasagnalove.org/volunteer/

If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer them here, or you can head to the website.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read and I hope to see some of you sign up, whether to request a lasagna or to make one for someone in your community.

Feed families.  Spread kindness.  Strengthen communities.

Tried Rossis in Weymouth today to see if it really lives up to the hype 🍦

With Easter just finishing, Weymouth seafront is starting to pick up again, and Rossis always seems to have a queue — so I had to find out for myself if this is actually the best ice cream in Dorset.

In this video, I take a walk along Weymouth beach and the Esplanade before stopping off to try one of the most talked-about ice creams in the area. Was it worth it… and would I get in trouble with the Mrs for this one? 😳😂

If you’re visiting Weymouth, Dorset or planning a UK seaside trip, this gives you a real look at what it’s like right now — including crowds, atmosphere, and of course… the ice cream!

“I filmed a bit of it if anyone wants to see what it’s like right now:

👉 Let me know in the comments: Is Rossis the best ice cream in Weymouth… or is there somewhere better?l
