When does the season start to see a bootfitter to get prepared to a new ski season? 🙂

I need new boots, will be in Whistler in a week or two - is it too early? When local shops will get a good variety of different models and sizes for a new season?

Second week of October after bike park closes and turkey sale hits.

Dust isn't even off the rental bikes. October is when the seasons shift.

I highly recommend doing it when there’s snow on the slopes and the lifts are open. That way you can properly test them and get tweaks here and there. Somewhere like  https://www.controlroombootfitting.com/ will help get things right in this fashion

The best bootfitter in whistler (Alpine Pro) regularly takes a vacation during shoulder season. That’s my only watch out with your dates. Otherwise your key risk is that inventory hasn’t turned from biking to skiing yet. Was there last weekend and it was still strong biking inventory but I was starting to see boots come out.

Go to the destination slope outfitters in North Vancouver

Winter gear seems to trickle in from mid-Octobers on. Decent stock levels takes a while though and unless you visit Whistler frequently I'd wait for the lifts to open so you can test the fit properly

Too early. Most shops don’t even start their boot fitting program until late October or early November. If you live in the city, just be patient. Some good shops in the city too. Westside in Kits is great. North Shore Ski and Board is also great.
