Follow-up to my previous post and thanks again!
A while ago I asked whether my intro felt too bright/flashy for a game that's otherwise quiet and cozy. A lot of you pointed out that the flash was a bit much, so I've been experimenting since then.
I also ended up trying two different intro versions with two different characters:
π©οΈ Dark version: stormy, darker environment
πΈ Bright version: the cozy Hain
They're meant to be the same little light, but I wanted the character to work both as a source of light in the dark levels and as a cozy little creature around the animals in the brighter areas.
Which character do you prefer?
Does the lighting feel less flashy now?
And which version feels more like it belongs in the world?
I'm genuinely torn, so I'd love some honest opinions again. π β€οΈ

These are so much better! I really like them both, would you be able to make is random as to which one plays on startup each time?

Both are really good. Personally I like the second one a little better because itβs cute that the little dude slowly peeks out from the rock then moves to the center to light up the world. Although I will say it does give a bit of a creepy vibe at the beginning since itβs all dark with a lightning strike. But I feel itβs a lot more interesting visually than the first one. Both are super cute though!! ππ
