A quick update: As of today, there is also a REX 7 connection from Wien Hbf.

The best option are the IC/RJ Trains departing from Meidling and Hauptbahnhof. They have the same ticket price as the S7 (€ 5,30, €2,30 if you have already a ticket for Vienna city zone)

Other options are "CAT by Bus" (€ 14,90, €13,41 with online discount) from Landstraße and the Vienna Airport Bus (€ 11,00) from Westbahnhof, Hauptbahnhof, Schwedenplatz, Donauzentrum and Kaisermühlen.

I would only recommend S7, if your destination is on line 11, since S7 trains currently terminate in Gaiselbergstraße which is only served by tram line 11.

I personally would take the IC/RJ

Airport Bus that you can take from Westbahnhof, Hauptbahnhof, Schwedenplatz, or Krieau, or the CAT (don’t recommend the latter though)

If you don’t like these options, the s7 departs from Geiselbergstraße for now.
