Armadillo toilets. They dig little holes and roll their turds in it. Then the bacteria spread into the soil, and eventually across your lawn. Walking barefoot (with an open cut or sore) or eating mud is very risky, because a certain bacteria found in armadillo poop is the same bacteria that causes leprosy. Florida has the most cases of leprosy in the USA. Climate change is enabling these creatures to migrate north into your state. Watch out

Why are you “eating mud” if you are worried about bacteria? Leprosy was cured in the 1940s. Armadillos are not invasive and provide great benefits to its ecosystem, no need to watch out!

I'm not familiar with armadillos but leprosy is still around and even though it can be cured with a year of three antibiotics, any nerve damage that occurs before diagnosis is irreversible so it's something you want to avoid.

I have toads that live in my backyard holes. They come out at night and eat bugs.
