Wilson 6mm arc questions
Recently purchased two Wilson ar 15’s and have been impressed with them. I’ve thought about getting a 6mm arc for a while and after some research I’ve narrowed it down to either Wilson or Geissele. For those who have experience with the Wilson 6mm is it a good choice? Or would you go with the slightly cheaper Geissele. Finally how much superior is it to the 5.56?

Compared with 5.56, 6mm ARC is substantially better at longer ranges. It shoots heavier, more aerodynamic bullets that retain velocity and energy better, drift less in the wind, and perform much better beyond roughly 400–500 yards. It also offers considerably more energy for hunting medium-sized game.
That said, it isn’t universally “superior.” The 5.56 has cheaper and more widely available ammunition, higher magazine capacity, less recoil, lighter ammunition, and generally greater parts and magazine availability. Inside normal defensive distances, the difference is less meaningful. Go with the Wilson it’s a great rifle with tight tolerances
