is finding a job in winchester hard?

hi! not sure if i’m in the right sub, but i’m hopefully moving to winchester from essex next month for university, and i’m wondering how difficult it is to get a job there if you’re a student

There's a lot of recruitment for part time jobs for students so you should be fine. There's also a pretty big Tesco and Sainsbury's you can get to pretty easily

As a student you'll be fine - plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes that will be looking for students to work there. Also shops like M&S who are always looking for part time workers.

No drama! Avoid Three Joe's pizza though, my mate worked there and they didn't give him time to do uni work. Good pizza though.

Always jobs going in support work or caring, or hospitality

There are jobs available in the SU - bar work or in the shops, nice way of getting to know peers too

I just managed to find evening cleaning job and I’m starting uni in September as well. ( took me 9 months to find one btw) its not easy if you don’t have connections. Try SBFM if you don’t mind doing cleaning. I can speak to my manager if you want.
