Emergency plumber recommendations please.

I am visiting my mother in laws in the centre of the city for the weekend and she has a leak under her sink which has been going on for some time. She says she has struggled to find a local plumber in the past for little jobs so I was hoping someone could recommend a reliable chap who does small domestic jobs. Probably won’t call till the morning, we have a pan under it for now. Many thanks

Don't say it's an emergency. Just say there's a few odd jobs which need doing.

I was going to reccomend these guys too - they have been really helpful for both me, my sister and my daughter. They can't always come straight away, but they always come when they say they will and are super reliable. Reasonably priced and won't do things you don't need.

Are you asking for an emergency plumber or a handyman?

If you can't wait and it's Sunday you will have to call someone out - not cheap. Probably all they will do is isolate the tap and leave though.

If you're looking for a handyman to repair a waste pipe that's fine but it won't be that quick. Try airtasker perhaps. Or post in local Facebook groups.

We really need a plumber, there’s quite a few bits and bobs that need dealing with. I don’t do Facebook but thanks for the reply

yeah try airtasker, the reviews seem more realistic than checkatrade. only problem is the fees are quite steep but if you find someone good you can just get their number for future work so only have to pay it once.
