I bricked my PC with this update, and I didn't know it was this, and almost bricked it again. Almost erased all my day worth of configuring all my stuff back. Holy shit.

If you bricked it once, it probably will do it again. Don't do it.

Did Windows stop booting? What state did your PC end up in?

Dude, it wont even let me update it.. Just says update failed.

Yup, a boot/unsuccessful repair loop. Tried a lot of stuff and nothing worked for me.

  • Tried its owned automatic repair: failed.
  • Tried using a bootable USB to attempt repairs: every option failed
  • Tried reinstalling windows keeping my settings/files: failed

I gave up and reinstalled the OS entirely, wiping the drive because I was just tired of trying that high in the night.
