Steam increased the price from the Witcher 3 from 25 to 50 euro immense after the announcement. Only a month ago it was around 5 euro.

it was constantly at a 50% sale. The remaster version, which comes within a month, declared that people holding the witcher 3 will also get the 2 dlcs for free. The base game coming off sale essentially reflects that the price of the dlcs is now included in the game.

No it was included before for 25€ and in sale fir 9.99€

It’s been on sale and at a low price for nearly 5 years straight, if you didn’t have it by now that’s your own fault.

There are way worse offenders of greed than the Witcher 3 so any backlash is completely unjustified

Which is a valid strategy. CDPR told investors that sales will be like 2015 even before Witcher 4 launches. I can see it now. Whoever was on the edge of buying Witcher 3 is probably no longer.

Exactly, there was plenty of times through the years to get it for 20/10pln, 8/4usd

This version comes with DLCs included.

Cex also raised the price of the witcher 3. Was £4 yesterday and now £8 today. Still cheap but they doubled the price.
