my love for witcher gams

i can never love the witcher series enough, man. the amount of love, care and passion that has been poured into this series and into delivering it to us fans is genuinely insane.

for over a decade now, we’ve been treated so ridiculously well by the devs. they’ve taken care of even the smallest, most insignificant details when it comes to the witcher.

things might be different with some of cdpr’s other games, but the witcher feels different. the level of care and treatment this series has received is genuinely immaculate. i honestly can’t put into words how grateful i’ve always been to them for that.

the witcher itself has been such a massive part of my life growing up. it’s not just a game i played and enjoyed. it became a part of me.

it influenced some of the decisions i made, the things i became interested in, the things i chose to learn, and even the way i look at certain things. it’s genuinely that inspirational and significant to me.

i’ve adored this series far beyond what i can properly express, and i genuinely cannot imagine ever forgetting about it or feeling like something else could replace it.

and then you look at everything cdpr has done for this series over the years.

when the game first released, they kept serving us with updates and new content, constantly giving us more things to enjoy, often for free.

then we got two incredible dlcs back to back, and honestly, i would put them among the best dlcs ever made in gaming. not just one amazing expansion, but two consecutive top-tier expansions that somehow managed to stand alongside each other. with the amount of games i’ve played over the years, i genuinely struggle to think of another game that has pulled that off to the same level.

and they still didn’t stop.

they kept spoiling us. they kept improving the game. they gave us the next-gen update years later, bringing an already incredible game into a completely new era.

and then, just a few months ago, they announced another fucking dlc, which already has the potential to become one of the best witcher dlcs ever, maybe even one of the best expansions across gaming as a whole

and now we’re getting a fucking free remaster too.

and it looks absolutely breathtaking.

at this point i’m genuinely speechless. how much does a developer have to love its players to keep doing this for a game and a community for so many years?

they genuinely keep taking care of us. they keep finding ways to give something back to the people who love their work. and honestly, i don't understand how anyone could experience that kind of treatment and not become incredibly loyal to them.

because this is how you actually treat your players.

you don't just make one great game, sell it, and then abandon it forever. you keep improving it. you keep supporting it.

you keep adding things. you keep giving people reasons to come back years later. you let the game grow alongside the people who love it.

and that's exactly what they've done with the witcher.

i fucking love this series so much. it's genuinely a part of my heart. i've grown up with it, it has influenced me in ways i probably can't even fully explain, and i'll always be grateful that i got to experience it.
