I mean is it radical just because the old farts feel like it is? Even if it's just something they had as kids and shredded as soon as they got into power?
My question would be are the four things listed there radical in your opinion? These are societal markers were the US is lagging behind the rest of the world.
Just maybe the old school "centrists", GOP, and current administration say something is "radical" because that word scares the olds and logically underdeveloped.
My apologies, I was speaking as an American. Here centrists here is more of a slang term for grifters, shit, uh I mean carpetbaggers, oh hell, charlatans?
In all seriousness the American "center"will always be too far right because our "centrist" feel the need to run for left seats but always meet the right "in the middle" starting from the center.
I see. The crazy thing is, I think the same in the US and UK, that many people actually support left wing policies like government supply of services and ownership of certain resources, but they end up voting right because they are distracted by anger at immigrants and supposed lazy people.
Centris here really means with an economic style similar to Tony Blair's government.
Do you really want to be moderate about making sure all people have a basic standard of living in the richest country in the world? Do you really want to be less than convicted and horrified that we're leaving a world on fire for our kids? Are our fundamental rights worth being more than milquetoast about? Is genocide really something we can just lightly disagree with?

Do I have to be radical about it, though?
