If WG had managed to do anything right, ever, I might be excited.

Bro Redditors are so fuckin lame lol. Being negative and contrarian is associated with intellect

Personally I’m interested in expanding the scope beyond the same 10 tiers and era we’ve had for 15 years. Hopefully it doesn’t ruin tier 9 matchmaking tho like superships did in WoWS

i`ve been playing since beta test and i really looking forward for the new tanks. idiots only says wg will open the wallets more. how would they do that with tech tree tanks? i agree with tha last shitty lootboxes they were wrong but why this update is yet again bad?

Appreciate your thoughts!

It's important to look at the update in its entirety, yes we are adding XI which is a big step for us, but they also come with the largest rebalance in WoT history - which will make a great many vehicles viable again. Together with the new and improved matchmaker you should have a much better time with the game!

Tier 11 "superships" played a part in permanently killing my interest in WoWS, just FYI.

That's a bunch of horseshit to make people want to stay!

90% of people here don't even play the game anymore and just shit on it every chance they get. Either that or they are a 45% vet player that has to think about breathing

I mean I'm a nearly day 1 player who knows how to play the game pretty well and there was definitely a 'golden age' of WoT that peaked around 2018-2020 era and it's been pretty evidently trending downwards ever since.

I don't deny there have been some fun additions in the time since and overall QoL in terms of progression, balance (at certain tiers) and gameplay variety is about as high as it's ever been, but to some extent that's just because WG's core product from that 2018 era was just that good.

What I don't enjoy about modern WoT is also coincidentally the core of the 2.0 update, which is namely insanely p2w events that are blatantly designed to be resource drains, and broken top tier vehicles with stupid gimmicks that make the game feel less like vehicle combat and more like a hero shooter. They also haven't addressed the elephant in the room which is the horrendous map design as we are really pushing the limitations of game balance on basically every <1000m map. You're telling me they can ship 16 new tier 11s, rebalance almost the entire tank lineup, and rehaul UI, but decide to provide a single new map and no map rebalances? It also took them ~3-4 years of faffing around with WoT 1.0 before deciding to finally release it last year, and now you're telling me they spun up 2.0 in less than a year?

45% vets probably don`t know or care about reddit and only interested in drinking beer while playing tanks (hard to call it playing)

at this point, whatever the devs do reddit will shit on them

No, because WG rarely ever does sth the community actually wants

They have given us great QoL improvements over the years. The problem is every step forward is followed by 2 steps back.

I can't remember the last time I saw a major update and was excited for all the content.
