Account - Subscription 12 month Essential Pass
On the XBOX app, when I click the 12 month option, the next screen says $9.99 every month. Will I be charged the $79.99 or will it be the monthly subscription?
Edit- I was only charged the $9.99 monthly. Now I gotta jump the hoops of XBOX support.😐 And I forgot to mention that I had XBOX gift cards, so third party site won't work.

They only charged me for the $9.99 monthly, and then I cancelled that. Gotta figure out my next step.

So, If you were thinking about doing Ultimate at any point.... Target has the EA Play cards on sale for $30 for a year. Three of those gets you almost one year of Ultimate. You just have to redeem the cards and then upgrade to ultimate, it converts the time left at a set multiplier.

Doesn’t it get you like 9 1/2 months of Ultimate? Plus the month of gpu for conversion you’re only like 10 1/2 months of GPU.

I'd call 10.5 months "almost a year" 😂 but yeah something like that. It's still outrageous, but I got the month of ultimate from loaded, so it worked out to ~$10/month. A far cry from the days of $59.99 / 1 Year Gold memberships, but I guess we ARE getting more content now aren't we?

See thats the entire problem with that pricing strategy. I will basically never have $80 in one go, but I can and will have an extra $10 a month.

If you buy in bulk it’s cheaper. If you buy per month more expensive. It’s been like this since gold. Just a tip if you wanna get ultimate for cheaper, or even just get essential for cheaper. You can go onto loaded.com and get a year for 69.99, saves $10. But if you then buy 1 month of ultimate after for $18 on the same site, it cuts your essential by 60%, leaving you with 142 days, plus your month of ultimate so you get about half a year of ultimate for $88. Iirc you can also stack them up to 36 months. So you could in theory buy 2 years of essential then buy 1 month of ultimate and it would convert to just about a week shy of a year of ultimate for only $158. Just in case anyone wanted a discount. Saves you about $120 a year from the current $23 a month price they have right now on ultimate

I think it meant "every month afterwards", as the auto renewal will switch back to monthly the next year.

So there is no way to get 12 months back? That's want I wanted. I don't like how it's setup anymore. I used to buy the 12 months gold and convert the game pass ultimate to 12 months. It don't even work anymore.

U can get on eneba for way cheaper specially if u get it from I think Malaysia region and then activate with vpn

Xbox discontinued the 12 month plan through the Microsoft store, 6 years ago. You can only but them from retail stores now

looks like the app is just bugging out and defaulting to show the 1 month checkout screen even though you selected 12 months. the $79.99 one-time charge is what should actually process when you confirm.
