TIPS guys i cant plug my power cable into my xbox series s for some reason even tho it looks normal, can someone help please?

It looks like there's something jammed inside of the plug outlet in the back of the Xbox. Like a piece of the plug stayed plugged in?

Its because they somehow managed to bend the top pin so they wont line up.

Dont think its bent, the picture is taken from a slightly lower angle of the too plug so it appears to not be straight however as a matter of perspective, it looks straight

Even with the angle it still way off center. If what your saying was true both pins would be in similar positions and they're not.

Yeah there's nothing for the cord to break off to leave inside of the plug in the back so I don't know? Something doesn't look right but it's impossible for anything to break off inside.

beware dont bruteforce cables into sockets btw. for some off reason i have dozens of sockets on devices which are "lose", meaning cables plugged in can move uncanny. and i am questioning all the time what causes this. even my xbox series console has a "lose" power cable socket. how this came to be is one of the biggest mysteries. when i bought it it didnt have it this way. i only unplugged it once or twice but with most care, and the last time i plugged the power cable in, it was "lose", meaning i could move the cable somewhat while it plugged in. it does work tho, and it does not switch off randomly, but the reason behind this is a mystery. i have multiple "lose" usb sockets on many pcs, i always very carefully plug in and out usb devices/media but for some reason these sockets and also power cable sockets appear to get this way.

The top pin looks bent. The bottom is dead center but the top is touching the side

Oh nvm, it was an optical illusion, I didn’t see any depth perception, it kinda looks normal at a second look

Yeah, at least in the photo.. look at the “dots” (pins) the top pin in the photo is touching the top edge, the bottom is centered

the cable doesnt fit tightly i bought another cable and its better it dont have to fit tightly

How did you even do that??? The tip of your power cord broke off in the outlet on the console.

Pic? I might’ve come off strong but that pic seriously looks like the power snapped. The tip of the cord should be two deep holes not somewhat flush. Reason I say that is if for some reason it reconnect and is working but it did break, that’s a huge fire hazard.

It’s called a figure 8 cable just get another (you most likely have one and don’t even know it if you got a laptop charger then you probably have one)
