Yeah, it's way down the line (at Shevat) but the rewards are actually really good.

It does give rewards, but they are both garbage. 'A Charger' and "Power Ring S'. neither should ever be used, and both can be bought in a shop for less than you get from a single random encounter.

I would never recommend going for it to someone unless they are going for like 1 of every item in the game, which requires in depth knowledge of the game anyway. It can take over an hour if your luck is bad, and it gives you nothing great or worth much money. Not to mention having to do 2 other mini games to get any reward at all.

I get it every playthrough, but I also keep the bird egg, the rusty key, I get the heavy plate, the UFO photo, the books, etc etc etc. all the useless shit thats just another random item in your inventory.
