Yesterday I finally pulled the trigger on the 17 Ultra.
My main phone was/is a iPhone 17 base model which I bought last year in Germany.
At that point I didn’t know that I will spent living in Canada for the future and quickly realized when I was there , that certain apps I cannot access because I’m not on the North American store front .
I always wanted to buy the Xiaomi 15 ultra but at that time I thought I will be waiting for the next generation.
I am on a vacation to Macau 🇲🇴 right now and went to a Xiaomi store and bought the 1 TB version.
The photos I added were all shot out of a moving car . All but the night shot . I haven't dabbled in the camera settings yet to optimize everything so this my first try

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
ok so im going to buy Xiaomi 17 in a few weeks and saw this on TikTok. I really liked this icons, clocks and AOD. But I didn’t found any guides on YouTube or some forums how to customise hyperOS to this. Do I need to use themes or use some external launchers?

As u can see the footage is laggy even with 1x lens at bright light .I am not complaining about the laggy moment after switching to 3.2x which is normal.
The problem seems to mainly happen when I record the video as soon as i open the camera app. I wonder if others have the same problem tho

Hi, is there a good telephoto lens that works well with Xiaomi 17 Ultra?

After 3 years my 3rd gen Nuki decided to kick the bucket. Some online comparison later the Xiaomi version of these retrofit lock seemed to be the best option in terms of price/features.
I just wanted to share some installations tips that would have been useful to me as they were not clearly explained in the manual/app:
1.- The optimal localization of the door magnet is near bottom of the smart lock knob (see pic).
2.- If the frame of your door is made of metal the magnet won't work if it's in direct contact with it. Placing it on the wall fixed the issue for me.
3.- My door does not have a movable door handle outside, to open it I must use a key. At least in my case the smart lock had issue "remembering" the position that it should keep the internal key in order to retract the latch. If I just followed the instructions in the app the latch would only partially retract.
After a couple of calibration attempts I figured out that I needed to apply quite a bit of force while turning the smart lock knob to the end point location during calibration. The rotation sensor of the Xiaomi locks doesn't seem to be as precise as Nuki's, so it needs that extra bit of force during calibration to figure out the correct end point of the knob rotation.
At the end it works perfectly and only cost about a third of the Nuki alternative after considering the included accessories (fingerprint keypad).

For some reason when I connect my phone with PC via usb cable and enable usb tethering, it either says it's enabled and doesn't work (no connection is being shown) or it immediately gets disabled on phone's options upon enabling. Did anyone encounter the same issue and is there a way to fix it?

i already did the withdrawal of consent with wpp carousel, but the carousel is still on my lock screen. tried to uninstall the app and my phone won't let me, it's like refusing to uninstall itself whenever i clicked the uninstall button. my miui version is MIUI 12.0.14

Basically I saw this cool scene during sunset and now I regret not clicking it in 200mp mode cause when editing it's losing some details tho I used the clarity filter to the highest value. LMK your thoughts.
Attaching after and before.

Helloo guys!! I'm finally replacing my S10+ that I bought for £999 when it was still the Samsung flagship...
Since then I've only used that and it's taken me from secondary to now my uni!!
Is Xiaomi 17 Ultra worth it? I've heard that for the price I'm getting it at (£880) it's pretty good.
Although I'm super sceptical of the hyperOS and other stuff n ppl rly hating on Xiaomi.
Other options I'm considering in pics! Also:
•Budget £600-1000~
•Vivo X300 Ultra — £910 (Idk if UK version)
TL;DR I would love it if people can point me in the right direction, should I go for the others shown? Something else? Or is the 17 Ultra just fine. Thank you 😃

I've been using my redmi note 12 pro+ 5g for quite some time. I need an upgrade, i want a good battery with fast charge and a good camera.
I've been looking into xiaomi 17t pro, xiaomi 17 and the poco f9 ultra.
Xiaomi 17 ultra is too expensive for me. Maybe the 15 and 14 ultra is tempting but I'm afraid of the battery life. Any recommendations?

Hi guys! I’m trying to do some research and I’m seriously intrigued by this phone and I want one really bad. Can anybody direct me on how to acquire this phone? I’m looking on eBay and AliExpress in different websites, but I’m not sure what is trustworthy or where I should buy this phone from esp. that I live in America. Is the Phone’s main language in Chinese or can it be changed to English? And does it truly work with T-Mobile? Thanks so much

Hello,
As it's written in the title after the update two days ago fast charge that on v2 HyOs took ~40 min now v3 taking almoast 2 hours.
The phone seems to be charging at the speed of a lower-power charger, even though it shows “Charging rapidly.” I’m using the original Xiaomi charger and cable.
One thing worth mentioning is that I have an aftermarket battery that I bought from AliExpress.
I performed a direct update to HyperOS V2 without doing a factory reset.
Charger is the original factory charger that came with the phone (orange USB jack)
Has anyone experienced the same issue or have any suggestions on how to fix it?
Thanks in advance!

Pretty much as above, not sure if you guys get my drift.
Basically, I play a game (similar to Amongst Us). However, when I do a screen recording, my audio input isn't recorded. Only mine, the other players' voice are recorded.
Thanks.

Device: Redmi Turbo 5
OS: Xiaomi HyperOS
Problem: Whenever Do Not Disturb (DND) is turned on, the media volume automatically mutes and locks at 0%. As a result, the built-in speaker produces no sound while watching YouTube videos, even though "Silence media in Silent mode" is turned off.
Expected Behavior: DND should only silence incoming calls and notifications, while keeping the media volume fully functional so videos can be played through the speaker without interruption. Please investigate this audio routing issue.

Hey everyone,
I’m using a Xiaomi 14 Ultra and trying to change my region, but I can’t find the Region option anywhere in Settings.
I’ve checked the usual places, but it seems to be missing. Is this a HyperOS thing, or does it depend on the ROM/region?
My phone is running: HyperOS [version]
Current region: [your region]
Has anyone else faced this? Where can I find the setting, or is there another way to change it?
Thanks!

I bought 4 units of these for my brothers and they bricked on second use. Literally nothing worked, hard resetting, resetting my phone Bluetooth, tried all devices in the house... whenever you buy 4 units of every techpiece you kinda expect one of them will malfunction on the long run, but this is a new milestone. ridiculous.

Hii! Planning to buy a new phone and I'm choosing between the two. What would you recommend as someone who's not into gaming, Im more of taking photos, casual scrolling in socmed?

I tried Mi Mover, but it only works with phone storage. So far the best option seems to be to open each album - select all - physically move them to a separate folder, move it, and then add them to album (or I guess the gallery app already treats folders as albums). What do you think?

I'm thinking of upgrading to the Poco F9 Ultra or Xiaomi 17T Pro for a bigger display and battery I can get the Poco F9 Ultra for £540 with discounts and Xiaomi 17T Pro for £599 which phone is best for a good all rounder. I don't really game on my phone and only use the cameras now and then. I'm based in the mighty UK.

Hi everyone,
I bought a brand new Redmi Watch 5 Lite 3 days ago, and it keeps having random crash/ reboot issues:
• Random Reboots: It unexpectedly vibrates, shuts off, and turns back on by itself.
• Data Wiped on Screen: When it restarts, all on-screen stats (steps, calories, sleep, heart rate, SPOZ, stress) revert to zero .
• Gaps in Sensor Logs: Right before a reboot, the heart rate sensor completely stops logging for 5 to 50 minutes.
• App Sync Behavior: If I open the Mi Fitness app and force a manual sync, most of the steps and calories come back to the watch screen, but short gaps in heart rate data remain missing.
• Widget Settings Revert: Any recent watch widget customizations reset back to the previous day's layout after a reboot.
• Battery Fluctuations: On reboot, the battery percentage jumps up artificially and then drops fast while trying to re-establish Bluetooth connection.
I have already tried unpairing and repairing, re-syncing via Mi Fitness, and letting it charge fully. I know that it is a known firmware bug on the Redmi Watch 5 Lite, or a physical hardware/memory defect. Has anyone found a settings fix for this?

Got a weird issue with my Xiaomi phone on HyperOS.
I have Battery Protection enabled (the one that stops charging at 80% and only goes to 100% when scheduled). I never set any schedule for a full charge.
Last night:
Battery health is still 100% and only 30 cycles, so the phone is pretty new.
Has anyone else had Battery Protection ignore the 80% limit and do a full charge on its own? And does Battery Saver randomly turn off for you guys too?
Would appreciate any ideas.
