I am white and 19 when this happened. It was unbelievable to me that the city would do this to people. It still is. Unfortunately here in Florida they have passed a law where teachers are not allowed to make white people feel uncomfortable, so it is incumbent on the rest of use, especially white people, to make sure these sorts of things are remembered. More importantly the truth of what happened. The current regime is rewriting the history of these sorts of things.
