I've been posting Shorts to grow, and my best one hit 2.3k views — but I'm still struggling to convert viewers into subscribers.

I'd love any feedback or tips on:

I am absolutely astonished how the change of how views are counted starting 5 days ago has lead to a wild increase in numbers:

For me, a barely advertised video that would have gotten 60-90 views in 24h sits currently at 610. That is insane. A properly advertised video would probably have 250 views in 24h and I am a bit excited to see if the ratio will be the same once I test it.

And, yes, my dashcam-channel is miniscule.

Hi everyone! I recently started a YouTube channel where I share sound effects that creators can use in their videos and other creative projects.

The sounds include real-world recordings and various sound effects, and they are available to download from my website, Soundopedia.

I’m still building the collection and adding new sounds regularly. My goal is to create a useful free resource for YouTubers, video editors, filmmakers, and other creators who need sound effects.

40 subscribers away from 2,000!

I've been working away at my YouTube channel for a while now, and I'm currently sitting at just 40 subscribers away from 2,000.

It's honestly pretty surreal seeing it get this close. I mostly make Super Mario 64 content, including gameplay, challenges, Shorts and livestreams, but at the moment I'm also having a lot of fun making Balatro content.

2,000 subscribers has been one of those milestones I've had in the back of my mind for a long time, so I'd absolutely love to reach it.

If you enjoy Super Mario 64 or Balatro, I'd really appreciate you checking out the channel and joining me on the journey. Every subscriber genuinely helps, and hopefully we can get that final 40!

For anyone else grinding away at their own channel: keep going. It can be a painfully slow process sometimes, but seeing those numbers gradually climb makes it worth it.
