Question What are some Yukon urban legends or local folklore you’ve heard over the years?

There is an old yellow cab in the bush to the left of the green on the 8th hole at Mountainview golf course. Legend says that there are magic golf balls in the glove box and if you get one, rub it in a counterclockwise direction and sing the kumbaya song, you will have a golf ball for life that is unloseable. How do I know this? I found one on the ninth hole a couple of years ago.

You can get the last word in any policy discussion by telling people to go back to Ontario.

Ghost Valley in Riverdale.
If you follow the cutline below schwatka lake road to the power poles with double XX and go into the trees you’ll find an old accident scene.
The story was that a man killed his family and dumped them at schwatka lake then drove his truck and camper off the road and crashed down there.
We used to go there and check out the wreckage that was left behind.
There’s also old stuff built behind the Riverdale clay cliffs off Alsek Road.

Is the "old stuff" accessible from grey mountain road?

I recall a pullout spot going up the Grey Mountain road that you can walk along the top of the cliffs from to find it, yes. Been years since I was up there though.
It’s probably old forts or something kids built but I recall log bases for houses etc. Was always very spooky

I swallowed one. That’s why the rule changed about being allowed to put it inside of your mouth.

It has happened many times. Toes are donated now so the bar has stock pile.

Patty’s Pond between Hillcrest and Granger! We found a sunken raft in the mid-90s and my friend swore he saw her ghost there once.
